Commercial Truck Driving Courses
Fast Track - CDL A
This is a Fast Track, accelerated tractor-trailer driving course with classroom training and behind-the-wheel/vehicle training.

Safe driving practices, speed and space management, night operation, ​entry level driver (49 CFR 380.503), and log books are addressed.

Students take the road skills test in the same equipment used throughout the course.

Upon successful completion, students earn a CDL A.

Prerequisites: Age 18 (intrastate license only), Age 21 (interstate license) (*See 11/26/15 notice above), Commercial Learners Permit - Instructional A (CLP - IA), social security card, DOT physical - Medical Examiners Certificate, DOT drug test, drivers license for a minimum 1 year, and clean driving record.

Tuition: $6,500 includes road test.
DMV Fees: $135.00 (includes IA permit $15 and license fee $120)
If you are upgrading from a CDL C or B, license fee is only $35.

$500.00 deposit is required to enroll in the Fast Track course.
Deposit will be applied to tuition and fees. In the event of cancellation, all fees will be deducted prior to any refund.

CDL permits must be held for 14 days after date of issuance before road skills test can be performed.

*Effective November 26, 2015 - Commercial Driver License (CDL) Eligibility
A person under 21 years of age is not qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle transporting hazardous materials for which a placard is required (HazMat Endorsement), or a commercial vehicle used to transport 16 or more passengers, including the driver (Passenger Endorsement).
This is an existing Federal Regulation that has been adopted by the State of Alaska effective 11/26/15.

To enroll you must submit a complete application, questionnaire, copy of Alaska Driver License, DMV Lifetime Driver History, Deposit and verification of funding.

You must obtain your Commercial Learners Permit - Instruction A 
(CLP - IA) prior to course.

Enrolled applicants will be subject to US DOT Medical Exam & Substance Screening at own cost prior to final acceptance.
