Hazardous Materials Training

At Center for Employment Education, we provide a variety of hazardous materials training programs for transportation and warehouse industries including:

49 CFR 172.704 Transportation Awareness

This 4-hour course provides a 3-year certification.

 

Transportation Awareness and Safety Training is required for all employees working with hazardous materials.

 

This certification is required by DOT to maintain your hazardous materials endorsement (HME) on your CDL.

Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response First-Responder

This 24-hour course provides a 1-year certification that requires an annual 8-hour refresher.

OSHA 1910.120 Hazardous Waste Certification training in First Response at Operations Level (non-cleanup duties).

​

This course satisfies the requirements many companies have for entering a hazardous waste site. Training includes a basic understanding of hazardous materials and the first steps taken on the scene of a hazardous material accident.

Hazardous Material Transportation Specialist

This 32-hour course provides a 3-year certification.

 

49 CFR Parts 100 - 177 DOT regulatory requirements for the shipping and handling of hazardous materials and hazardous wastes.

 

This is a requirement for many warehouse personnel, drivers, material handlers, technicians, and front-line management.

Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response Refresher

This 8-hour course is the required Annual Refresher to maintain the 24-hour First Responder and 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification, OSHA 1910.120 and 49 CFR 172.704

Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response (HAZWOPER)

This 40-hour course provides a 1-year certification that requires an annual 8-hour refresher.

OSHA 1910.120 Hazardous Waste Certification training in Hazardous Waste Site cleanup and the transportation of hazardous waste. Students receive training in the proper methods of sampling, handling, and transporting hazardous materials.

ELDT Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HME)

The theory course is training for the requirements for obtaining an HME on a Commercial Driver License. Required prior to DMV testing.
